The ABC has shared a first look at its new live music TV show The Set, before it premieres tonight, 31st October.
The new show — hosted by triple j‘s Dylan Alcott and Linda Marigliano — is billed as “one big house party where artists perform to a live audience of more than 250 people”.
To get a sense of how the performances will look, triple j has shared video of rapper Baker Boy performing his track ‘Mr La Di Da Di’ on The Set.
The series’ first episode will also feature performances from Vera Blue, Wafia and Illy, before another four episodes showcase more Aussie talent for the ABC‘s Ausmusic month, including the likes of Angus & Julia Stone, Ball Park Music and The Presets.
“We’ve been keeping The Set a secret for a while now and are pumped to finally share this news with you,” Alcott and Marigliano said in a statement last month.
“A new live music TV show is going to be a great thing for Australian music, and hosting it together is a bloody dream come true.”
The Set will premiere at 9:30pm AEDT Wednesday, 31st October, and will be broadcast each Wednesday night. The show will also be available on iview, and will be replayed on TV from 10pm AEDT on Saturdays, beginning 3rd November.
