An 18-year-old man has died after tripping over at Sydney musical festival Knockout Circuz.
According to police, the man was running when he tripped over the feet of people and fell to the ground sustaining head injuries.
The man was drifting in and out of consciousness and became violent with security who were assisting him. He was taken to Westmead Hospital but his condition deteriorated and he passed away early this morning.
A critical incident team is now investigating the situation with an independent review to be conducted.
Five people were arrested at the festival and charged with possession of MDMA including two 17 year-old females. One was found with 379 MDMA capsules while another was found with 41.
Meanwhile, a 22 year-old man was found with 188 MDMA capsules.
Police searched a total of 298 people and there were a total of 55 charges for possession of a prohibited drug. There were also six supply cannabis cautions.
