Spotify Announces First-Ever Australian Concert Event Open To The Public

In massive live music news, Spotify has announced its first-ever Australian concert which is open to the public — ‘Front Left Live’.

The ‘Front Left Live’ playlist event is based on Spotify’s popular playlist ‘Front Left’ (formerly ‘Indie Mixtape’), which celebrates “the best left-of-centre new music”, Spotify says. It’s also the streaming giant’s first live playlist event in the Southern Hemisphere, after booking private birthday parties and fan events in the past.

And Spotify has locked in an impressive lineup full of local up-and-comers for the show, like Cosmo’s Midnight, CXLOE, Baker Boy, Dallas Woods, Hatchie and Kota Banks. On top of that, there’s a mystery international act that’s yet to be announced.

‘Front Left Live’ will be going down in Sydney — in a yet to be disclosed location — this October and, best of all, it’s completely free — just enter the ticket ballot.

Check out full lineup and all the ticketing details below.
