With Australian Music Week kicking off in less than a week, we’ve received the final announcement. Huge Aussie music figures, Paul Kelly, Ken West, and Dan Rosen (ARIA CEO) have joined the list of notable industry speakers.
Australian Music Week runs at Cronulla Beach in Sydney from Wednesday, 6th November to Sunday, 10th November.
ARIA Chief Executive, Dan Rosen will be delivering an end-of-decade keynote at the event. “As we approach the end of the year, and the end of decade, it is time to take stock of how far we’ve come as a music industry, and where we might go next,” Rosen said. He’ll be chatting Aussie music industry figures and dissecting the state of our industry.
Back at his BIGSOUND keynote last month, he talked about ARIA’s target of becoming five per cent (5%) of the world market by 2030.
Paul Kelly and Ken West will be joining US analyst, Bob Lefsetz on his Live Podcast series for Australian Music Week. Kelly’s session will kick off Saturday, 9th November at 2pm.
Ken West, Big Day Out co-founder will be officially opening the week when he joins Lefsetz on Wednesday, 6th November at 12:15pm.
There’ll be a free beach concert series too. Held at Western Sydney Uni Stage at Dunningham Park, Cronulla, there’ll be free shows each day of the Aussie Music Week.
Just some of the highlights playing throughout the week are: Alex Lahey, Ali Barter, and The Kava Kings.
