Well, well, well.
Seems like Tool may be on the verge of announcing an Australian tour, after a mysterious video popped up on Frontier Touring’s Facebook page earlier today with only the cryptic message – “Perth, Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Auckland, February 2020” – and the caption #FollowTheEvidenceAUNZ.
On that basis alone, it’s hard to argue that the video definitively refers to any one band. However, fans have been quick to point out that those words have been shared with the same typeface the alternative metal outfit used for the front cover of latest album Fear Inoculum, released back in August.
There are a flurry of comments on the post, with fans collectively guessing that the legendary art-rockers are indeed the band teased in the video and expressing their excitement about an impending visit.
Fans have good reason to be excited – it’s been a fairly good while between drinks for Tool down under, with their last Australian tour being way back in 2013.
